Kyrgyzstan trip: Tour 8
Day 1: Bishkek
We are glad to see you in Kyrgyzstan. On arrival the driver will meet you at Manas International Airport and accompany you to the capital city of Kyrgyzstan. It will tale 30-minute drive from the airport. You will have a city tour and visit Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala Too Square, the National Arts Museum, National Philharmonic, and many others places of wonder. Visit our Asian Bazaar and see locals selling and buying goods. In the end of day, you will be transferred to a hotel for rest.
Day 2: Bishkek - Alamedin gorge - Bishkek
We will visit Alamedin gorge. Whereas hiking in this astonishing gorge you can see cattle and even yurts. Yurts are nomadic dwellings and it is likely to live in them all year round. The mountains in this gorge are enclosed with fir trees and laterally the whole route is a mountain river which ends with a waterfall that flows from the rocky mountains. We are sure you will want to capture unforgettable moments. Then we will return to Bishkek. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 3: Bishkek - Burana - Chon Kemin
In the morning you will be transferred to Chon Kemin gorge. On route to the gorge you will visit Burana Tower of an 11th century minaret and an open-air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). Afterwards is transfer to Chon Kemin gorge. There is a chance to meet a nice family. In the afternoon we will have 3 hours of horse riding. Your way will go high in the mountains and you can ride horses over a mountain forest. On the top you will see the panorama view of the gorge. Night is in a home stay.
Day 4: Chon Kemin - Rafting - Kochkor
Today is a rafting rafting tour along a mountain river! This river is very prevalent among people who like rafting. Rafting staff will give a short explanation of what to do. Then you will be transferred to Kochkor village. In Kochkor village a local family will show you how our national felt carpets are made. Learn more about the art of felt making and create your own carpet together with them. Visit a small handicraft museum there and see many examples of silver decorations, coats made of wolves, horse saddle decorations, carpets and more. Night is in a home stay.
Day 5: Kochkor - Issyk Kul southern shore - Jeti Oguz
Travelers will be transferred to the celestial Issyk Kul Lake. It is the second largest alpine lake in the world. The lake is called "the pearl of Central Asia". For more than 1 500 years local people considered the lake to be a sacred one. Later on, we will have a break in Bokonbaeva village and visit a local eagle-hunter. He hunts hares and foxes with the help of eagles (traditional way of nomads hunting). Afterwards is transfer to Jeti Oguz, Red Rocks. Overnight is in yurts.
Day 6: Jeti Oguz - Jyrgalan
In the morning you will have a rest near your yurt camp. See real nomads. They come to these mountains in summer times with their cattle. Nomadic families do not live at one place all the time. They used to move from one pasture to another in order to have better pastures. Later on, is transfer to Jyrgalan valley which is located in far eastern Kyrgyzstan is a small village open for tourism. This astonishing valley hails you with luxurious, green mountains lit by bright sunshine and cooled with fresh mountain air. The valley alters into a rich winter landscape enclosed by high mountain peaks and deep, powdery snow. Night is in a guesthouse.
Day 7: Jyrgalan - Karakol
In the morning you will have a free time to explore nature. Afterwards is transfer to Karakol town. Travelers will visit the Dungan mosque there. It was built in Chinese style. Being here you will find an old wooden Orthodox Church as well as visit the museum of M.V. Prejvalsky, one of the world's utmost explores. Night is in a hotel.
Day 8: Karakol - Issyk Kul northern shore - Bishkek
In the morning you will be transferred to Bishkek city. We will drive lengthways the northern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. You can see the whole lake from all sights. We will make a short break to give you the opportunity to visit ancient stone inscriptions (800 B.C.). These petroglyphs were made more than 2 000 years ago by shamans. You can see a panorama view of the Issyk Kul Lake from this place. For sure you will love it. Night is in a hotel.
Day 9: Bishkek - Airport
In the morning is transfer to airport.
