We made a special tour and we want to present this perfect tour for tourists who like natural world and trekking. During this tour you will see our famous lake and real nomads. You will sleep not only in guesthouses but also in yurts - nomadic dwellings made of wood and felt. The explore will take place on the southern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. Welcome to our Celestial Kyrgyzstan!
Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
You will be met by your guide at Manas International Airport and accompanied to Bishkek City (30 min. drive). After accommodation in a hotel***. This one is situated in a calm part of the capital city, there you will have a rest and breakfast. Afterwards, you will have an outing to Natural Park Ala-Archa, it is located in the Ala-Arch gorge, on the Kyrgyz ridge (a spur of Tien-Shan), in 45 km from Bishkek - capital of Kyrgyzstan. You will go to the top of a mountain to have a nice view of this famous gorge. After returning back to Bishkek, traditional dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Night in a Hotel***.
Day 2: Bishkek - Jukku gorge
Breakfast is at 7 o'clock. You will start your trip to Jukku gorge by bus and you will be told by your guide about nomads' life, mores and their extraordinary traditions. Then will continue our way to the Jukku ravine along the southern shore of the celestial Issyk-Kul Lake, which is second largest mountainous lake in the world (1608 m. above sea level). People sometimes call the Lake - "the pearl of Tien - Shan". On the way we will visit the Burana Tower (11th century minaret) and its attached open air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). On the way, we will drive through the striking Boom canyon. When we arrive in Jukku gorge you will have hiking through the gorge to our tent camp. Dinner will be served in the campsite, where you will also spend the night.
Day 3: Jukku gorge
Today you will have acclimatization in Jukku ravine, where you are exploring its natural world by yourself. You can hike along the incredible gorge to take a bath in mineral hot water springs; go on its nearest peaks, visit scarlet mountains or just relax in the atmosphere of calm nature. There are amazing mountains, red rocks, and a cave that is called "500 rams". It is a great chance to get acquainted with nomadic traditions and culture. Because there are nomads who still inhabit in yurts and come to this summer pastures with their cattle and they are very hospitable and friendly. It is possible to try national drink Kumis (fermented mare's milk) there. National dinner will be served at 7 p.m. You will see the way of national food preparation. You will have a chance even to involve yourself in the process to be closer to nomads' life.
Day 4: Jukku gorge - Chon Kyzyl Suu
After breakfast we are off for a hike to the gorge Chon Kyzyl Suu passing the Jukka gorge (2520m above sea level). During this unforgettable trip you will see our heavenly mountains and terrific views of its pristine nature. You will hike along the Great Silk Way just as well as ancient traders did. You will stop for a nighttime at the campsite based right in the ravine.
Day 5: Chon Kyzyl Suu
At 9 am, after delicious morning meal, we leave the camp and start our hiking to the splendid Ashu Tor pass (2800m). After your lunch you will have an ascent to an amazing mountain lake, which is originated from glacier. With a bit of luck you might see ibex, mountain goats. After admiring the outlook of the mountain lake we move back toward the station. Our cooks will teach you the way of national meals making. You can even participate in the process of national dish "plov" cooking. You will feel as if you are 1000 thousand years ago in wild Tian Shan Mountains. This place is so far-off from civilization and you can relax fully there.
Day 6: Chon Kyzyl Suu - Djeti Oguz
After a yummy traditional breakfast we will start our way to impressive Djeti Oguz gorge. You will have hiking along glorious places and you will be surprised who irregular our mountains. They views change so fast that you cannot even notice how the instance passes.
Day 7: Djeti Oguz - Oguz Bashi - Djeti Oguz
This day you will see many yurts, collapsible felt dwellings of nomads on the way. They are made of a wooden skeleton that is covered by felt. You will have a fine picnic with a view of the glacier hiking up to the Oguz Bashi. And then we will return to camp.
Day 8: Djeti Oguz
You will have several guides and that is why you can choose what to do. In the morning you will have time to walk in this pictorial gorge. Some of you can go down the gorge to a resort that was built in Soviet time; others can hike to a mountain waterfall. Or you can hike to the scarlet rocks that have unusual forms.It will be likely to take a bath with hot springs and have massage there if you wish. Because of these rocks the whole gorge was named. Djeti Oguz means "Seven bulls". Indeed it looks like huge bulls from a far distance. Also you will see there the Broken Heart Mountain. Your guides will tell you a stunning myth about it. You can also participate in its making to reveal all secrets of nomadic cuisine. In the evening you will taste our national meal - kurdak. You will listen to our nomadic songs and unusual national Kyrgyz instruments, because during your farewell mountain dinner you will enjoy Kyrgyz Folklore show.
Day 9: Djeti Oguz - Issyk Kul Lake
After packing your backpacks, you are to be served breakfast at 9 o'clock Then you will havehiking down to the Djeti Oguz gorge. It has a nice mountain river that flows along the whole gorge. When we will come to the bottom of the gorge you can walk for 15 minutes on the top of the nearest mountain - there is a scenic view on Djeti Oguz Red sandstone formations and scarlet mountains around! Then you will be transferred to the northern shore of the Issyk Kul Lake which is 2nd biggest mountain lake in the world (1608m.above sea level). The Lake is also recognized as "the pearl of Central Asia". Dinner is to be served in a guesthouse, where you are to spend the night.
Day 10: Issyk Kul - Bishkek
You will have breakfast at 8 o'clock. Then we start our trip back to Bishkek city (the capital of Kyrgyzstan). In Bishkek you will have time to go for a stride around the city and to get souvenirs. A leaving dinner is served at 7 p.m..
Day 11: Flight home
Early in the morning transfer to the Airport of Manas.
