Kyrgyzstan biking: Tour 3

Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
Our guide-interpreter and driver will meet you at the International Airport Manas and you will go to the Bishkek city where you have breakfast after accommodation in a hotel*** which is situated in a calm part of the city you will have a rest. After having rest you will have a trip to Natural Park Ala-Archa. This park is situated in forty kilometers from Bishkek at the foot of Kyrgyz range (a spur of Tien-Shan). You will have a hiking trip along the slopes of the mountains leading to the beautiful waterfall. Return to Bishkek. You will have dinner at 7 p.m.

Day 2: Bishkek - Tamchi village
In the morning we start our trip to Issyk Kul Lake the road will go through Keuk Ayrik pass. Our driver will not follow us. We will have lunch the Keuk Ayrik pass. Passing by the pass the road will go down. Our driver will meet us in the Sary Oi village. He will drive us to Tamchi village. Tamchi is situated on the northern side of the Issyk Kul Lake. The lake is the second highest lake in the world (1608m. above sea level) and it is surrounded by mountains from the all sides. The water of the lake is salty that is why it doesn't freeze up in winter. You will stay for a night in the guest house.

Day 3: Transfer Tamchi - Kochkor - Sarybulak
In the morning we go to Kochkor village by car. The road goes through the Orto Tokoi water reservoir. At the Kochkor village we will visit a local family and they will show us the way of national carpets production. You will be able to take part in it and to create your own carpet together with them ; after that you will visit Kyrgyz Handicraft museum in Kochkor village.After this cultural show you start your ride trip on an asphalt road to Sary Bulak village (2310 m. alt., 38 km). Transfer (7 km, 2390m. alt.) by bike on dirt road to confluence of Kara-Kudjur and Biulioomiu rivers. You will overnight in tents.

Day 4: Ride by bike to the foot of Jalpak pass (58 km, 3345 m)
Today we ride to the foot of Jalpak pass. This place is just amazing and you will definitely like it. You will see incredibly beautiful mountains along the whole way. This place is quite far from cities and you will be in absolutely harmony with nature there. The ride route is of moderate difficulty on soil road in satisfactory condition. The landscape of that place is similar to tundra.. you will stay for a night in tents.

Day 5: Ride to the Jalpak pass (3345m. alt.) - Dzhylangach river
In the morning you will start riding to the high Jalpak pass and then the road goes down (25 km) to Korumdu valley, then to Kara Saz region till the the Dzhylangach river (confluence of the Balgart and Dzhylangach rivers that forms the Kichi-Naryn river). After lunch is your free time. Here you can see Peaks Kara-Kaman, Archaly and Burkan that have old glacial forms - smooth tops and flat slopes. Lower parts, especially along left bank of the Balgart River are hilly, and covered with loose rock. Landscape in gorge is similar to tundra. You will stay for a night in tent camp (2648 m. alt.)

Day 6: Ride (58 km) Dzhylangach - Kichi-Naryn
Today we will pass by two the Balgart river and Kichi-Naryn River. It will be an easy day for you. Ride on dirt road. We will set up tent camp in the forest near the Kichi-Naryn River to stay for a night. This place was visited by nomads a lot as it was one of their main stops; some tribes could count about thousand yurts! All of them roamed from one place to another as a big family with a great amount of cattle.

Day 7: Ride (63 km) Kichi-Naryn - Naryn town
In the morning after having breakfast we start riding down to the Kichi-Naryn village (2351m.asl). This village is situated 4 km from the confluence of the Kichi-Naryn and Naryn rivers. You will ride along Naryn River and the road will lead you to the town of Naryn (2050 m. asl). It is a long narrow town built right along the gorge near the longest river Naryn. The town is situated 2800 meters asl. The road leading up to Naryn will surprise you by its beauty and amazing mountains. The whole way will be along incredible gorges and you will have many photo stops! It will be an easy day for you. Lunch is taken on the road. Riding on the main road. You will stay for a night in nomadic collapsible dwelling yurt which have been used for more than two thousands years by nomads.

Day 8: Transfer to Bishkek city
After having breakfast we return Bishkek. You will be carried away by amazing scenery of our nature. In Bishkek you will have free time to go shopping and to walk. You will have a farewell dinner in a restaurant and the night you will spend in a hotel***.

Day 9: Bishkek
Today we visit Osh bazaar which is very popular place in Bishkek. There you can see real Asian life; you will be able to merge in the atmosphere of ancient time. After visiting Osh market is city tour. The tour includes the visiting of the central Square, Oak Park, Victory Square, the History Museum, National philharmonic and many others places of interest. You will have dinner at 7 p.m.. Night is in a hotel***.

Day 10: Transfer to the airport
Our guide-interpreter and driver will pick up you from the hotel and accompany you to the International Airport Manas according to the time of your flight.
